Maternity FAQ
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY MATERNITY PHOTOS?
Maternity sessions are best held between 33-37 weeks into your pregnancy. During this stage your belly has a beautiful shape and you should feel good, but still early enough that you won’t go into labor before having your session! I book out 2-4 weeks in advance, so please plan accordingly. There are always exceptions and last-minute openings, so don’t be discouraged if you are coming up on 37 weeks and haven’t scheduled yet. Please contact me as soon as possible!
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
You are welcome to bring your spouse/ significant other and any children to the session. Also anything of baby’s that is special we can incorporate - such as a cute pair of shoes, stuffed animal, ultrasound photo etc.
WHAT ELSE?
When bringing your own outfits please make sure they are wrinkle-free (Remind dad too if he plans on being in any images). Bring any outfits you wish to wear – I always recommend a maternity gown since they photograph so well. Other outfit ideas: long, flowy or form-fitting dress, solid in color (e.g. tube dress or a summer maxi dress), simple white or black top or t-shirt (for significant other/husband) and coordinating outfits (for significant other/husband and/or children). Please remember to wear or bring a strapless bra. No tennis shoes! Fingernails will show in the images, please keep this in mind. Simple neutral nails photograph best. Don’t forget to accessorize!
Family FAQ
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY FAMILY SESSION?
Sessions are done at sunrise (8-9AM) or about 1 hour before sunset (5-6PM). Times change based on season. Please take this into account when booking – if your children go to bed early.
HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION LAST?
1-2 hours
WHERE WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?
An amazing outdoor location with fabulous light that we will decide on ahead of time.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You want everyone in the picture to look unified so similar colors and plain shirts are recommended.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Anything special you would like to incorporate into the session, or a fun activity you love sharing with your family!
WHAT ELSE?
Fingernails will show in the images, please keep this in mind. Simple neutral nails photograph best.
Please make sure everyone’s outfits are wrinkle-free.
No tennis shoes!
